Artistic Festival of Imagination
- April 12th -
Be a part of the creative energy!
Dramatists, painters, sculptors, musicians, poets, video
and graphics designers, dancers, singers, puppeteers and other
artists are invited to develop presentations for this festival
of collaboration of the arts. Merge video backgrounds with
dancers and music. Combine puppetry with video and poetry.
Project sculptures, paintings and other art pieces while dramatists
interpret. The presentations are limited only by one's imagination.
Mark April 12, 2003 on your calendar. Festivities begin
at 2:00 PM at the West Las Vegas Library on Lake Mead Blvd.

- SPIRITUAL EXPRESSIONS - Original and and flute
played against a background of Red Rock images. ARTIST(s)

- RECYCLED ART - Video graphics and scenes to complement
art pieces, one of which won the Nevada Power Competition.

- POETRY & ART - Nature theme enhanced by video media.
ARTIST(s) Pat Kaufman.
- PUPPETRY & STORY TELLING - Using a multimedia background
for a new approach to the story of kings, queens, witches,
princes and princesses. ARTIST(s) Sue Brna.
- WOMEN ARTISTS' PERSPECTIVES OF THE WORLD ISSUES
- Sculpture of Afghani and images from the RAWA website,
aswell as race issues and poverty. ARTIST(s) Denise
R. Durate, Sigrid Brunel and possibly others.
- WOMEN'S CIRCLE - Original play with video background.
ARTIST(s) Lisa Giola-Acrees.
- FLAMINGO IS THE THEME - dances to a video background.
ARTIST(s) Michelle Gibbons.
- DANCE DUET - to the TITANIC theme song with
video background. ARTIST(s) Dorothy Tonika and Gail.
- COMMUNICATION VIA NEEDLEPOINT. ARTIST(s)
Elizabeth Meinhold.
- THE BELCH - A poem combining the work of two authors,
poets, sculptures and painters. Lorna green and Sue Brna.
- MYSTICAL BLUE - Displaying two paintings while
the poem, Mystical Blue is recited amid multimedia display.
