Meet Marlene Adrian, DPE

- Her doctorate was at Springfield College, MA and previous degrees
at the University of Wisconsin (Lacrosse and Madison). Marlene
was born in Milwaukee WI and resides in Las Vegas NV.
- Marlene has been a professor in the departments of Physical
Education, Kinesiology, Rehabilitation Education and faculty of
Bioengineering at colleges and universities across northern United
States and a visiting professor in Brazil. Her primary research
has been in the area of biomechanics: aging, sports, women, disabilities,
fitness and fitness/sports equipment.
- Authored books include Woman in Motion, Biomechanics of Human
Movement, Complete Encyclopedia of Aerobics, Catastrophic Injuries
in Sports.
- Her hobbies are sports of all kinds; the following are past
achievements:
- Fencing World Cup competitor, member of US National Women's
Epee Team, US National Sabre Champion, Silver Medal US National
Women's Epee, Gold Medal US National Women's Epee Team, Ranking
of 24 th in Women's Foil, epee member of three Olympic Sports
Festivals
- National Fast Pitch Softball and Field Hockey competitor
- Whitewater canoeing competitor
- Marlene loves to read, travel and learn. Plays Senior Softball
and recreational tennis, fences and line dances. She presents
Movement Workshops and also has presented workshops for more than
10 years at the National Women's Music Festival. She is the spearhead
of the video production for Women of Diversity Productions, Inc.
