Revealing Nevada
Women
As President
of Women of Diversity Productions, one of the co-sponsoring non-profit
organizations for the unique, interesting and pleasurable event
described in the following sentences, I am inviting you to join
me at REVEALING WOMEN, CELEBRATING the SPIRIT OF SENECA FALLS:
the 155th Anniversary of the BIRTH OF WOMEN'S SUFFRAGE.
The event
is presented by the Las Vegas Art Museum and will be held at this
museum, 9600 W. Sahara Ave. Las Vegas at 2 PM on Saturday July
19, 2003. The event will incorporate recognition for Nevada women
along with the Las Vegas Art Museum's exhibition, REVEALING WOMEN,
an exhibit showcasing two local nationally acclaimed women artists.
The exhibit consists of the oil paintings of Susanne Forestieri
and the sculptures of Roberta Baskin Shefrin N.S.S. and will also
feature Selections from the LVAM Permanent Collection.
At this event
we will recognize and honor Nevada women who have contributed
to the expansion of choices for women. Local, state and national
women's groups and local art organizations will nominate the honorees.
You also may submit nominees, of living Nevada women.
The cost of
this event is $20.00 per person and includes a docent tour of
the exhibition REVEALING WOMEN, complimentary books and "Sojourner
Truth" video documentary donated by Women of Diversity Productions,
light refreshments and an inspirational/uplifting/exciting program.
